      The AX 5 Axis Machining Centre have a traditional trunnion style rotary table with 4 different sizes available within the range. The AX range comes with quality, accuracy and reliability as standard.

      The AX range is equipped with hollow ball screws incorporating through ball screw cooling to ensure accuracy and repeatability on machining cycles. The range also benefits from an innovative pneumatic counter balance system that is designed reduce vibration in the Z axis movement, resulting in high surface finishes.

      As with all Pinnacle machines the AX 5 Axis machining centre is designed with oversized castings, ball screws and guideways to ensure the rigidity of the machine, as a result you can expect a Pinnacle machine to provide exceptional accuracy and reliability for many years.

      The Spindle is available in a number of configurations allowing the user to specify a variant which is best suited to their particular machining application. Options include both built in spindle and direct drive with speeds ranging between 10,000 Rpm and 24,000 Rpm. The spindle is available as BT40 or HSK63.

      All of the spindles are equipped with spindle oil coolers to help them perform at their best and maintain accuracy regardless of the machining cycle.

      The range is available with a choice of different sized tool magazines ranging from 24 tools up to 40 tools.

RUGGED CONSTRUCTION ASSURES OPTIMUM RIGIDITY AND STABILITY.

The major structural parts are manufactured from high quality Meehanite cast iron (GB 300), tempered for stress relief with hardness over 190HB.

COUNTER WEIGHT BALANCE SYSTEM

Exclusively designed counter weight balance system. The counter-balance weight moves on a guide shaft to assure movement straightness accuracy. There is no vibration in the forward/backwards and in the right/left directions. This creates superior workpiece surface accuracy to meet various mold machining requirements. Patented in Taiwan and China.

RIGID, PRECISION SPINDLE

ASSURES HIGH QUALITY MACHINING
  • Supported by superior precision P4 class bearings, the spindle provides an extra wide range of machining capacity and high speed.
  • Floating unclamping system assures tool unclamping force will not transmit to the spindle bearings. It provides stable tool clamping and unclamping with the spindle and extends the spindle bearings life.
  • The spindle is a cartridge-type.
  • Choice of various spindle speeds – 6,000 rpm (ISO50, Belt Type/Gear Type), 8,000 rpm (ISO40/ISO50, Belt Type) 10,000 rpm (ISO40, Belt Type), 12,000 rpm (ISO40, Belt Type).
  • The circulating oil cooling system on the spindle head prevents thermal expansion and offers the best precision machining environment.
Chip Flushing
CHIPS FLUSHING NOZZLES

Coolant flushing nozzles on rear inner wall of guard prevent collection of swarf during operation.

Couplings linking motor to ball screw
COUPLINGS

Directly connected with ball screw and AC servo motors, the high precision flexible couplings offer the best rigidity and keeps the accuracy of axial linear assembly under high speed movement.
