5 AXIS MACHINING CENTER
The AX170 5 Axis Milling Machine offers high accuracy and high performance, it has its major structural parts manufactured from high quality Meehanite cast iron and tempered for stress relief. The AX range of machines uses Direct Drive motors on the A and C Axis to ensure high accuracy and efficient machining.
5 Axis Simultaneous Machining.
The AX170 5 Axis Milling Machine provides 5 axis simultaneous machining, which reduces repetitive workpiece setup and potential errors while dramatically increasing machining efficiency and accuracy. The AX range is is designed to be more compact that the BX range for 5 Axis machines
Available in 4 bed sizes.
Pinnacle AX range is available in 4 different sizes: AX170/ AX320/ AX450/ AX500 The AX range has proven to be excellent machines for high efficiency and accuracy.

RUGGEDLY CONSTRUCTED TO PROVIDE ACCURACY YEAR AFTER YEAR.
- The major structural parts are manufactured from high quality Meehanite cast iron (GB 300), tempered for stress relief with hardness over 190HB.
- 25mm Roller type linear ways on X, Y, Z axis for increased stability.
- X, Y, Z axis are transmitted with class C3, Ø28mm ball screws.

HOLLOW BALL SCREW WITH COOLING SYSTEM
Oil cooling through ball screws on X, Y, Z axis minimizes thermal deformation and backlash, while ensuring smooth motion during rapid traverse.
COOLING SYSTEM TO SPINDLE
The spindle oil cooler permits the spindle to keep a constant temperature whilst running and ensures long service life. It also provides high efficiency machining and accuracy.
