      The AX 5 Axis Machining Centre have a traditional trunnion style rotary table with 4 different sizes available within the range. The AX range comes with quality, accuracy and reliability as standard.

      The AX range is equipped with hollow ball screws incorporating through ball screw cooling to ensure accuracy and repeatability on machining cycles. The range also benefits from an innovative pneumatic counter balance system that is designed reduce vibration in the Z axis movement, resulting in high surface finishes.

      As with all Pinnacle machines the AX 5 Axis machining centre is designed with oversized castings, ball screws and guideways to ensure the rigidity of the machine, as a result you can expect a Pinnacle machine to provide exceptional accuracy and reliability for many years.

      The Spindle is available in a number of configurations allowing the user to specify a variant which is best suited to their particular machining application. Options include both built in spindle and direct drive with speeds ranging between 10,000 Rpm and 24,000 Rpm. The spindle is available as BT40 or HSK63.

      All of the spindles are equipped with spindle oil coolers to help them perform at their best and maintain accuracy regardless of the machining cycle.

      The range is available with a choice of different sized tool magazines ranging from 24 tools up to 40 tools.

The AX450 5 Axis Machine offers high accuracy and high performance, it has its major structural parts manufactured from high quality Meehanite cast iron and tempered for stress relief. The AX range of machines uses Direct Drive motors on the A and C Axis to ensure high accuracy and efficient machining.

5 Axis Simultaneous Machining.

The AX450 5 Axis Milling Machine provides 5 axis simultaneous machining, which reduces repetitive workpiece setup and potential errors while dramatically increasing machining efficiency and accuracy. The AX range is is designed to be more compact that the BX range for 5 Axis machines

Available in 4 bed sizes.

Pinnacle AX range is available in 4 different sizes:  AX170/ AX320/ AX450/ AX500 The AX range has proven to be excellent machines for high efficiency and accuracy.

The machine is supplied with the Heidenhain TNC640 control system as standard, however has the option of either Siemens or Fanuc

RUGGEDLY CONSTRUCTED TO PROVIDE ACCURACY YEAR AFTER YEAR.

  • The major structural parts are manufactured from high quality Meehanite cast iron (GB 300), tempered for stress relief with hardness over 190HB.
  • Roller type linear ways on X, Y, Z axis for increased stability.
  • X, Y, Z axis are transmitted with class C3, Ø40mm ball screws.

HOLLOW BALL SCREW WITH COOLING SYSTEM

Oil cooling through ball screws on X, Y, Z axis minimizes thermal deformation and backlash, while ensuring smooth motion during rapid traverse.

COOLING SYSTEM TO SPINDLE

The spindle oil cooler permits the spindle to keep a constant temperature whilst running and ensures long service life. It also provides high efficiency machining and accuracy.
