      The AX 5 Axis Machining Centre have a traditional trunnion style rotary table with 4 different sizes available within the range. The AX range comes with quality, accuracy and reliability as standard.

      The AX range is equipped with hollow ball screws incorporating through ball screw cooling to ensure accuracy and repeatability on machining cycles. The range also benefits from an innovative pneumatic counter balance system that is designed reduce vibration in the Z axis movement, resulting in high surface finishes.

      As with all Pinnacle machines the AX 5 Axis machining centre is designed with oversized castings, ball screws and guideways to ensure the rigidity of the machine, as a result you can expect a Pinnacle machine to provide exceptional accuracy and reliability for many years.

      The Spindle is available in a number of configurations allowing the user to specify a variant which is best suited to their particular machining application. Options include both built in spindle and direct drive with speeds ranging between 10,000 Rpm and 24,000 Rpm. The spindle is available as BT40 or HSK63.

      All of the spindles are equipped with spindle oil coolers to help them perform at their best and maintain accuracy regardless of the machining cycle.

      The range is available with a choice of different sized tool magazines ranging from 24 tools up to 40 tools.

Turning Option

The BX900 machine can be specified as a BX900T which incorporates a turning function into the machine capability. This allows the user to lock the spindle and use the the rotary table up to speeds of 1200rpm to turn parts. The results are incredible and really show the versatility of this fantastic machine.

Embedded Rotary Table

The machine has the option of a fully embedded rotary table which is centrally located for optimal machining capability.

Swivel Milling Head

BX900 Rotating Swivel Head Milling Machines allow the user to simplify setup and production of complex  multi-sided parts due to the enormous amount of flexibility of the rotating spindle head and rotary table working simultaneously together.

Rigid Structure on the BX900 5 Axis Rotating Swivel Head Milling Machines

Designed by Pinnacle, the BX900 and BX900T Swivel Head Milling Machines incorporate a high rigidity structure and a wide working range, the main structural components of the machine are cast from high quality Meehanite cast iron which is tempered for stress relief and over HB190 hardness to ensure deformation free performance throughout the lifespan of the machine.

You can select from a range of control systems to suit your requirements, as standard the machines are supplied with the latest Heidenhan TNC640 control system, however Siemens and Fanuc control systems are also available on the BX700 and BX500 Rotating Swivel Head Milling Machines

Unique B Axis Design

The transmission mechanism of B axis for model BX900/ BX900T incorporates a servo motor direct drive, which offers exceptional accuracy. In addition to the smooth and powerful torque, the direct drive system features higher rotational speed, improved servo response times, zero backlash, and outstanding dynamic accuracy for the optimum workpiece surface finish.

Advanced Cooling System

The external cooling system efficiently minimises the structural thermo deformation and further improves accuracy.  The cooling system also assists to ensure the output torque is stable as the temperature is constantly kept in a low and consistent level.

Incredible Accuracy

The B axis shaft is fitted with an angular positional encoder to improve positioning accuracy of the B axis.

The Integrated direct drive motor of the B and C axis increases the overall machine accuracy as well as ensuring the machine is highly efficient throughout all movements.
